Our residents rave over the produce that you have been so generous to deliver! A while back we received an email asking for volunteers to pick up gleans on Saturdays for delivery; we have had a great response from our staff, several would like to volunteer; please let me know how we can become established to join your volunteer team!

• I would like to share with the Gleaners …….. the food you bring us is a blessing …….you have BLESSED us at Broyhill Children’s Home  these past summers with awesome food!!!!!……we have 52 children and the food you bring us is such a blessing ……

Enjoy these two snippets from the benefit concert performed by internationally known organist, Tate C. Addis. Mr Addis and his lovely wife, Laura Larsen Addis, were very generous in offering a concert to benefit the Haywood Gleaners and our cause. Mrs. Addis is the official “page turner.”

Unfortunately, the rain caused most of the beautiful Romas to split and weren’t good enough to pick but we still were able to glean 850 lbs. There were 26 volunteers (gleaners & transporters) who helped save the day!
