Location & Directions:
Bethel
There is not a GPS address but the directions are simple:
From Main St and Pigeon (Hwy 276), take Hwy 276 for 5.6 miles.
Turn right onto Lake Logan Rd (at the gas station) and continue for .7 miles.
Turn left onto Chambers Farm Rd and take an immediate left onto Heavenly Rd.
The field will be on your right.

Carpooling:
There is ample parking at this location but you are welcome to meet in the Russ Ave K-Mart parking lot and carpool to the glean location.

Please do NOT begin gleaning until instructed to do so by the Glean Manager.

Shoes suitable for uneven ground and/or muddy conditions

Weather:
Assume the glean is ON unless otherwise notified via email since it may be raining at your home but not at the field.

In an effort to assure fairness, produce will be distributed (on a rotating basis) to predetermined and preapproved Haywood Gleaners recipient entities. Gleaned produce may not be sold.

Note:
If desired, gleaners may take home a small amount of produce for their personal use AFTER it has been weighed/tallied. A grocery bag should be used for this purpose and gleaners may not “cherry pick” the best produce for their personal use.

From Main St in downtown Waynesville, turn onto Pigeon Rd (Hwy 276) and drive 1.7 miles. Turn left onto Ratcliff Rd and drive .7 miles. Turn left onto Test Farm Rd. The tomatoes are in the first field on the right. Parking is on the left side of the road across from the field.

Carpooling:
Parking at the orchard is severely limited so carpools will be necessary. Meet at the Bethel Dollar General, 6084 Pigeon Road, Canton by 8:15 a.m.

Directions to Bethel Dollar General:
From Main street in Waynesville, turn onto Pigeon Street/Hwy 276 south. Travel approximately six miles to the Dollar General. Volunteers will be on hand to lead the carpool caravan to the glean site.
